"I do care [about the environment]. I care a lot, actually, but not as much as I used to, because I went to America; when I came back, I thought, “What’s the point? Why do I bloody bother?” The consumption levels over there are so much more extreme. I feel stupid, really. I feel like I’ve turned up at an earthquake with a dustpan and brush."

"My response is that when Creationists talk about God creating every individual species as a separate act, they always instance hummingbirds, or orchids, sunflowers and beautiful things. But I tend to think instead of a parasitic worm that is boring through the eye of a boy sitting on the bank of a river in West Africa, a worm that’s going to make him blind. And I ask them, ‘Are you telling me that the God you believe in, who you also say is an all-merciful God, who cares for each one of us individually, are you saying that God created this worm that can live in no other way than in an innocent child’s eyeball? Because that doesn’t seem to me to coincide with a God who’s full of mercy."

David Attenborough (via clovis-son)

But why does the child have to be in “West Africa”? Could we please stop equating every “bad/poor thing” w.ith Africa/Africans

Did you know the Ohio Department of Natural Resources constantly updates a fall foliage color forecast? They’ve even mapped driving tours for you, recommended lodging and events, and provided a comprehensive tree identification guide. So make like a tree and…check out some forests.

One of the many reasons so many Ohioans say Fall is their favorite season.

What many people are thinking of for fall is actually late summer/early fall when it’s still warm, but maybe you need a light hoodie or jacket after the sun goes down. In our heads the leaves are changing and we’re eating pumpkin pie. In reality it’s cold, overcast grey skies, rainy and also COLD. And the leaves are pretty colors for about a week and a half, and if you’re lucky 2 of those days are kind of sunny so you can enjoy it.
Not to be a total kill joy. I just firmly believe that summer > than all the other seasons.
