My new number 1 goal in life is to make excessive paper use as illegal as possible. It’s time we properly embrace technology already. This is beyond ridiculous. No one should need a warehouse just for half of their files.
This is a big pet peeve of mine. Many industries and companies are moving further and further away from the necessity of printing out documents. These same companies (mine included) are still distrustful of technology, however, and require we print out paper back ups of EVERYTHING.
I don’t know why we assume that NOTHING can happen to the paper back up (fire, water damage, just getting lost, etc.). It’s not impossible to simply have multiple electronic backups. And if technology starts to change - move your stuff over before the current system is obsolete.
